In the lead-up to the MJ Biz event November 15-18  Chris Walsh, CEO of MJBiz and I sat down to discuss the state of the cannabis industry, and the outlook for change in the next few years.  The last few years have brought many highs and lows.  Joe Biden’s recent comments around re-scheduling have got some people excited, while others should be very nervous. Regardless of the path chosen, anything but the status quo will bring disruption.

Of course, we also discussed the process of setting up the event in Las Vegas, and how the conference will differ from previous editions, and how the pandemic has affected the way MJBizCon operates.

Chris served as the founding editor of Marijuana Business Daily during the company’s launch in 2011, becoming the first journalist in the United States to focus exclusively on covering the business of cannabis. He now oversees the company’s day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Chris has been quoted as one of America’s foremost cannabis industry analysts by dozens of media outlets, including Harvard Business Review, NPR, CNBC, and the New York Times. He earned an MBA in international business from Regis University.
