How it works
One guest, start to finish.
Here is what Host Kit does for a single episode, from the moment a guest says yes to the day their episode is live on your site.
- 1
Your guest books
Forward or paste the booking confirmation. Host Kit pulls out the name, title, organization, latest book, email and recording time, and adds the guest to your board. If your bookings land in Google Calendar, Host Kit picks them up from there.
- 2
Intake
Your guest’s profile shows what is still missing: a title, an organization, or talking points of 250 to 400 words. You see at a glance who is ready and who needs a nudge.
- 3
The run sheet
Host Kit writes ten questions in a sensible order: open, go deeper, test claims respectfully, get practical, close. It adds three to five callbacks to things your past guests said, so each episode connects to the last. Edit anything. Reorder by dragging.
- 4
Before the recording
Host Kit checks your guest’s key claims ahead of time, so a shaky statistic is resolved before you are live.
- 5
The recording
Keep the run sheet open as you talk. Tick off questions, jot notes, and if you choose, see a suggested follow-up when a guest says something worth chasing. Nothing interrupts the conversation.
- 6
After the recording
Host Kit scores how each question landed, so your question bank gets better every week. It pulls three highlights and drafts a thank-you email to your guest, with a link to their episode page and a request to share it.
- 7
Publishing
You get titles, show notes, chapters, a YouTube description and social posts. Paste them into your podcast host, or publish directly where your host allows it.
- 8
Your episode page
Host Kit cleans the transcript and adds it to your episode’s page with key takeaways, links to its topic pages, and an article on the episode’s best idea. On WordPress this happens on its own within the hour. On other sites it takes one paste.
Works with what you already have.
Host Kit never hosts your audio or your feed. It works with the podcast host and website you already have.
