Terms of Service

Last updated: October 19, 2026

These terms govern your use of the benabis.com website, the Benabis Host Kit app, the Benabis Host Kit WordPress plugins and related services (together, “Host Kit”), provided by Benabis (“Benabis”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Host Kit, you agree to these terms. If you use Host Kit for an organization, you agree on its behalf.

1. The service

Host Kit helps podcast hosts prepare for interviews and publish each episode: question prep, transcripts, summaries, topic pages, clips, social posts and guest emails. Host Kit connects to services you already use, such as your podcast feed, Google Drive, your email, your website and your social accounts. It does not host your audio or your RSS feed.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
  • Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Your content

You own the content you bring to Host Kit and the content Host Kit makes for you: transcripts, summaries, articles, clips and captions. You give Benabis a limited licence to store, process and send that content only as needed to provide Host Kit to you.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for the content you use, including your guests’ consent to be recorded, transcribed and published, and the right to share their contact details with us.

4. Posting and sending on your behalf

When you connect a social account, mailbox or website, you authorize Host Kit to post, send or publish the items you approve or schedule. You are responsible for what is posted under your accounts, and for following each network’s own terms, including those of Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Mastodon. You can disconnect any account at any time.

5. AI-generated material

Host Kit uses AI to draft questions, summaries, captions and other material. AI can make mistakes. Review everything before you publish or send it. You are responsible for what you choose to publish.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Host Kit to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including privacy, copyright and publicity rights;
  • publish content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or misleading;
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk messages;
  • interfere with, probe or overload Host Kit, or get around its limits or security; or
  • copy, resell or reverse engineer Host Kit, except where the law allows it.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

7. Plans and payment

Paid plans are billed monthly, per podcast, at the prices shown on our Pricing page when you subscribe. Prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes. Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month, and we do not refund partial months unless the law requires it. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before a price change applies to you.

8. WordPress plugins

Benabis Host Kit plugins are licensed for use with Host Kit and receive updates from benabis.com. Update checks send basic information about your site, described in our Privacy Policy. You can turn off automatic updates in WordPress.

9. Third-party services

Host Kit relies on services run by others, such as Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Anthropic. Their terms apply to your use of them. We are not responsible for their availability or for changes they make that affect Host Kit.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep Host Kit running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop offering Host Kit, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content.

12. Disclaimers

Host Kit is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Benabis is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Host Kit is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend and compensate Benabis for claims arising from your content, your use of Host Kit, or your breach of these terms.

15. Ending your use

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we must do so by law. Sections 3, 12, 13, 14 and 16 continue after your account ends.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard in the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will notify signed-in users before they take effect. If you keep using Host Kit after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
