Public Health Specialist Dr. Silvia Pessah, M.D. Former Minister of Health of Peru – Peruvian MD. Silvia graduated from Medical School at the University of La Plata, in Argentine; with a Master's degree in Public Health from the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia; a Master's degree in Biomedical and Health Informatics from the University of Washington and Public Health training for specialization, in Israel. She worked in the Ministry of Health of Peru and Israel, with a broad vision of public health and cultural issues that involve the public health field. If the vision of medical doctors is to change individuals´ life; her vision as a public health professional is to change populations' life. With more than 25 years of experience in the public health arena, members of different Peruvian organizations, advisors of some private and government boards, a mix between been an academic and a public health worker. At this point in her life, she thinks that the goal was achieved, helping people to have significant life changes.
