PostShow compared

One tool for everything after the recording

Most hosts stitch together a show notes tool, a clip tool and a scheduler, then do the guest follow-up by hand. PostShow handles the whole stretch from transcript to the thank-you, built around the person you just interviewed.

Compared with Castmagic

Castmagic is a strong choice for turning audio into written content. Its Hobby plan is $19 a month billed yearly, with 30 hours of transcription in total over the life of the plan. PostShow Hobby is $19.99 a month, or $200 a year, for 5 episodes every month, and it goes further after the writing is done:

  • It makes the clip, writes the posts and publishes them on your schedule.
  • It publishes the article to your site when the episode appears in your feed.
  • It follows up with your guest, so the people you interview share the episode.

Why we built it

Promoting a podcast is a full-time job. Most podcasters don’t have the time for it, can’t afford the team it takes, and can’t compete with the shows that can. We built PostShow because we needed it ourselves.

We used several tools, and promotion still took too much time away from our other work. With PostShow, everything happens in one place and takes minutes per episode. It also does the things I never had time to do, like fully referenced articles and a social post written for every network. Every podcaster needs this, so we made it a product.

Why guests matter

A guest who is tagged, thanked and handed a ready-to-share clip often shares the episode with their own audience. That is the cheapest growth a show can get, and the step most hosts skip when they are busy. PostShow makes it part of every episode.
