Building Pure Dharma as a Luxury Skincare Brand

Recently, Sarah and Sean MaHannah from Pure Dharma joined me on The Green Peak interview series to discuss how they are building their brand in the cannabis skincare space, bootstrapping their growth through word-of-mouth, and intelligent product placement.

Like so many passion-driven products, the evolution of Pure Dharma came to Sarah after years of working in the spa industry and seeing the need for high-end, luxury skincare that blends botanicals with cutting-edge ingredients in a beautiful, clean and non-toxic way. The ties between the skin as an organ and a person’s overall health and body are abundantly clear, but the lack of personal care products safety regulations in the US compared to other parts of the world is troubling. For example, the EU bans/restricts approx. 1,400 chemicals, compared to less than 10 that are banned in the US.

Looking for purer solutions and based on their research, Sarah and her husband Sean created the Pure Dharma line of botanically-based products in 2016. Their path to market should be of interest to any entrepreneur.
